01 - In a large mixing bowl, combine peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, and oats. Stir until thoroughly incorporated and a thick, sticky dough forms.
02 - Fold in chocolate chips and any desired optional add-ins such as flaxseed, chia seeds, cinnamon, or coconut. Mix until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
03 - Using a tablespoon or small cookie scoop, portion out approximately 2 tablespoons of dough per ball. Roll between your palms to form smooth, round spheres.
04 - Place the formed energy balls on a baking tray or plate lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each piece.
05 - Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the balls to firm up. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
